Social Work – Creating Inclusive Communities
At SHANI DIVINE PEACE TRUST, our social work initiatives are inspired by the principle of Seva—selfless service to society. We work closely with communities to address social inequalities, provide relief in emergencies, and promote community development.
- Food Distribution Drives: We organize Annadaan Seva where hot meals and food grains are distributed to the poor, homeless, and laborers, especially during festivals, winters, and emergencies.
- Clothes & Blanket Drives: Warm clothing and blankets are distributed during winter to underprivileged individuals and slum dwellers to help them survive harsh weather.
- Support for Orphanages and Old Age Homes: We donate essentials and spend time with the residents of orphanages and senior homes to bring joy, hope, and companionship.
- Women Empowerment Programs: We provide skill development training, stitching classes, and small-scale income generation activities for women to help them become financially independent.
- Support During Natural Disasters: We respond promptly during floods, droughts, and other calamities by providing food, water, clothing, and rehabilitation support.
- Child Welfare Activities: We conduct events like Bal Melas, talent shows, and awareness programs to foster confidence and creativity among underprivileged children.
